Das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) fördert eine dreijährige Berufsbildungspartnerschaft mit dem uMfolozi College im südafrikanischen Richards Bay.
In November 2015 the partnership project (financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) between the uMfolozi College in Richards Bay / South Africa and the Kreishandwerkerschaft Steinfurt-Warendorf has started. Mr. Frank Tischner (CEO), Ms. Karin Münstermann (Head of International Department) and Mr. Oliver Petzoldt (the Long-term Expert who will be based in Richards Bay) attended the planning workshop in Richards Bay for discussing and finalizing the details for the three years project. It is the intent of the partnership project to sustainably strengthen the vocational training supply and the employability of artisans in order to improve the labour-market oriented vocational training system. The aim of the project is to improve the employability of graduates from the college and demonstrate opportunities for self-employment. This relates to initial and further training.
